Random Yoko sings "Comfort Women Song"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q-8FC1fjoA

The lyric subtitles written on the video clip tell nothing but facts. The Korean comfort women issue is quite sensitive because women are involved, where men feel somewhat uneasy to talk about. Since Yoko as a Japanese lady talks about the issue from the historically correct standpoint in nice music which she composed, the message to deny the fabricated comfort women issue may be well understood by many non-Japanese people in the world.

I am very impressed by her hard work. Keep your chin up, Yoko!

Mayor Hashimoto of Osaka City protested to San Francisco City Council

Mayor Hashimoto of Osaka City is assertive unlike ordinary Japanese people. However, many anti-Japan Japanese people took his speeches wrongly intentionally, and bent or twisted his words to invite many criticisms from anti-Japan people and politicians overseas especially in South Korea.

When I was active on Twitter, I advised him to speak out in English to have many non-Japanese people understand his true intentions. He didn't respond to me at all, perhaps because I talked to him in English. One of his weak points is that he is a little allergic to English.

However, the more he ignores international realities, the worse he is misunderstood by South Koreans in the US, where Koreans have been promoting to set up comfort women statues in many cities, even by quoting misinterpreted words of his speeches on the comfort women issue.

So Mayor Hashimoto finally stood up. The following letter was sent to the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco.

Mayor Hashimoto, you did a good job. I hope you keep speaking out your opinions in English.

The Comfort Women Issue was fabricated by a Japanese fiction story writer, Yoshida Seiji.

Yoshida Seiji (a.k.a YOSHIDA Yuuto) wrote a book titled "Diary of Former Shimonoseki Labor Reqruiment on Korean Comfort Women". The book was published by Shinjinbutsu Ouraisha in 1977. Yoshida mentioned in the book that he was engaged in recruiting Korean Comfort women in Saishuto (Cheju) Island under the instruction of the Japanese military. He emphasized that the Japanese military ordered to recruit comfort women.

He further wrote a book titled "My War Crimes", which was published by San-ichi Publishing Company in 1983.  In the book Yoshida mentioned that he recruited 200 Korean Comfort Women forcibly under the instruction of the Japanese military. This book was translated into Korean in 1989.

This book set the stage for the so-called "Comfort Women".

However, Cheju Newspaper (Korean Newspaper company in Cheju Island) objected to the content of the book when the book was published in Korean in 1989. Reporter Kyo Eizen (
許栄善) interviewed an eighty-five year old woman living in Cheju Island. The old woman said, "There are only 250 houses in my village. If 15 women had been recruited as comfort women, everybody would know its big incident, but there was no such a fact". Based on the research, Kyo concluded that the content of the book written by Yoshida was fabricated.

History researcher Kin Hougyoku (
金奉玉) in Cheju Island researched for several years on comfort women when the book in Japanese was published in 1983, finding out that the incident written in the book was not a fact by saying "this book must have come out as a result of a dirty money making urge of the author." These objections were found only in 1992 at the local library by Japanese history researcher HATA Ikuhiko.

Very unfortunately, the books written by SENDA Kakou and YOSHIDA Seiji have been misused by anti-Japan Japanese critics, who are called masochistic intelligent Japanese by the way, and anti-Japan Koreans. There are still many people who believe that the books were written based on facts.

We have to know that those books were written based on the imaginations of the authors, and the contents in the books were not facts but all fabricated.

In short, the comfort women issue was fabricated and created by the two anti-Japan story writers who wanted to have quick money for living.

This is in fact a tragedy.

I will keep on writing more about the comfort women issue.

Response to a comment by Soul of Japan

Soul of Japan said the following on my previous post titled "Premier Abe and Yasukuni Shrine".

"I agree with most of what you wrote here, but the problem is not about why he didn't visit Yasukuni, the problem is that he sought a consensus in order to do it. No Japanese needs to have permission to visit his own shrine in his own country."

Come to think about that, Soul of Japan is right. Premier Abe should have visited the shrine. It is more than a thousand pities that he gave a wrong signal to CCP, SK and the US. Next time when he goes, he will again seek consensus to visit the shrine. It is really ridiculous. He should have put an end to this vicious cycle. In other words, he would have been able to confront irrational accusations coming from CCP, SK, the US and internal poison snakes in Japan at a time. He missed the chance.

Soul of Japan further said,

"Mr. Menendez and President Obama have a very skewed opinion about WW2, and it wouldn't surprise me if they were catering to special interest groups. The lack of understanding of what actually occurred with the comfort women is the Ministry of Educations fault. Most Japanese do not even know the facts, so how can you expect other nations to understand? "

Yes, the Ministry of Education (now the Ministry
of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology called MEXT for short) made a big mistake in accepting fabricated stories on the comfort women issue. That's what I knew already, and what is more dreadful is that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has been supporting SK on this issue, whereby our embassy and consulates in the US didn't protest strongly to building comfort women statues in American cities which were promoted by Koreans living in the US. That's what I knew from reading 『外務省の罪を問う』(Crimes Committed by MOFA) written by Seishiro SUGIHARA published by Jiyuusha.

I will talk more about the crimes of MOFA on separate posts.
